I hired another plumber initially - from "100 years in business" company - to clean the building sewer (in between building and cityline). The guy came with a short "snake" (just 90ft long while need 150+ft for my house) and didn't hit anything even within this distance, my problem repeated again next day. Had to make another attempt and hired Drain King - worked fine this time to my satisfaction (first clog was in less that 90ft distance) and for less money.
Drain King was at my house within minutes and did a fantastic job. While onsite, I asked them to assess my water heater, which I already knew was going. They gave me a great price on a replacement, answered all my questions, and did the job quickly and efficiently. When I asked them about some other concerns about my plumbing, they were honest and told me what I should be looking for for various issues. Highly recommended.
They returned our call quickly, and scheduled an appointment. They arrived on time, and called to let us know they were on the way. Problem was solved, and the price was reasonable. We'll use them again!
Chuck from Drain King was right on time - he even called to let me know he was a few minutes from the house. Very courteous - took care of my clogged drain - doubled check to make sure it was OK - he answered all my questions and I'm definitely calling him back for several other plumbing projects I have. Excellent job!
Replaced a broken sewer drain pipe that had been crushed/broken by tree roots. I called Chuck on Monday, he was able to come and check out the problem within a couple of hours. After trying to snake out the drain, Chuck described the problem as a probable broken drain pipe. He made some calls and confirmed that they would be able to do the repair on the very next morning. Chuck kept me informed about their arrival. Tuesday morning it was raining hard, but he said that if it cleared up they would be coming. As soon as the rain slowed down, he called to let me know they were on their way. When they arrived for the work, Chuck detailed what they were going to do. As the work progressed he described what they found: an old style drain pipe that could not withstand tree roots. They replaced the old pipes and added a clean-out access pipe, and did a good job filling in the hole and leveling the yard. I am very pleased with the work Chuck and his crew did and would hire them again.
Called on weekend, owner answered and scheduled a time for early Tuesday. Even called me Monday afternoon to let me know he was in the area and could stop by a day early, but I wasn't home. | |Called 10 minutes before he arrived, assessed the job, and fixed it quickly and efficiently. Even gave me some insight on the problems other similar homes in the area have that I might face down the road - one of the benefits of hiring a local company. | |Price was fair - not as cheap as the guys that advertise specials in the papers, but the service was great and worth what was paid. I'll definitely call them again if I have more issues.
Chuck was very responsive to requests, came out quickly to give a quote and provided good follow-up when scheduling work. Work completed quickly and professionally on day requested. Will definitely use Chuck/Drain King again for any sewer and sewer pipe maintenance type work.
I've used Drain King in the past when they cleaned the drain. They're very responsive and got here very quick.
Our sewer lines were 60 year old cast iron pipes that were disintegrating. We had received a estimate from another company, and wanted to get a second estimate. We saw the reviews on here for Drain King, and called to get an estimate. Chuck gave me a ballpark figure over the phone, and then we scheduled an appointment for a full estimate. His estimate was 1/3 the cost of the estimate we had received. He even helped us work with his excavator to have a tree removed (at a really good price too). He was always there when he said he'd be there, and the job was done quickly, and he kept us updated every step of the way. I would definitely use him again, and will refer him to all the neighbors.
The check valve was done on day 1 and the sewer line replacement was done on day 2. Drain King arrived on time each day and finished each piece of the project each day. The amount of excavation that was needed was extensive. Drain King had explained to me that the job might take all day or it might go quick. This job took all day and they did not try to change the price or cut corners. They were very thorough which I very much appreciated.
This is a messy job, Drain King cleaned up nicely. My neighborhood has Orangeburg sewer pipe and will need to eventually be replaced. I've already had my neighbors ask me about the job and I told them I was very happy.
We needed to have our sewer pipe snaked. He was able to get out there the very next morning and snake it. When he was snaking it, we found out the pipe was to far gone which is what we were expecting since we had it cleared a few times before. He was able to make calls and get the permits and get the pipes marked to do the job the following morning. Was there at 8am as promised. Very nice and helpful along the steps of the process.
Called Drain King when I saw a water leak on the ceiling. Turns out the seal on the toilet in the bathroom above the leak had been installed improperly by another plumber. Drain King corrected the problem and there have been no further leaks. All plumbers seem to be a little on the expensive side, but he's reliable and very personable. Service is often done the same day you call, which I appreciate. The quality of the work is excellent.
Drain King is installing a new sewer in Monmouth Junction. I have never had a problem. He is very thorough. I recommend his work.
Discovered that all of the underground drainage pipes in front of our house were collapsed and water was draining into the ground and causing some water issues in the basement. As it was December, we wanted to get the job done as soon as possible before the ground froze and we had to deal with more rain or show. Drain King came out right away to give an estimate and scheduled the job the next day. They analyzed the situation and came up with a new shorter route to the storm sewer. This still involved about 60 feet of hand digging, jack hammering out some bricks and a cement footing in front of our front porch so the pipe could pass under, and replacement of cheap original pipe with schedule 40 pvc. I was nervous about replacing the masonry quickly so we wouldn't have a gaping hole in front of our door, but they were extremely helpful and searched around to find matching brick and quick drying cement so the job could be finished in one day. They did a very professional and quick job, and went the extra mile to deal with our specific needs. I recommend this company without reservation if you need any kind of underground pipe installation.
The company that was originally recommended to me never returned my call. Another company that I had used in the past was also not helpful. I had seen the Drain King trucks in the area for years, and knew they were a local company, so I thought I'd give them a try. Chuck returned my call promptly and was very helpful on the phone. He was able to come to do the work very quickly, and the job was completed right on schedule, very professionally, and very cleanly. The price seemed to be in line with what i would have expected. I would certainly recommend them.
I had an emergency need to have my sewer line snaked and Drain King fit me in same day to address my problem. Chuck was thorough in the process for checking and unclogging both my internal and external lines. And the job was completed quickly and cleanly (which can be a challenge in this line of work!). Will definitely call Drain King again and recommend them to others. Thanks Drain King!
Hired drain king 3x he responded so quickly with my sewer issues. His estimates were A LOT cheaper than any of these big name companies. Chuck came and had all the jobs done early in the afternoon. I'd use him any time!
It was a great experience from the first time Chuck came to my house. His speedy response to my first call made a very difficult time that much easier. He ran a camera through the sewer pipe underground on a Friday morning and saw the problem. By that afternoon I had all my utility companies there steaking out where their lines were. And by Monday morning there was a crew here tearing up my sidewalk to fix this problem. They were very professional and everything was completed by early afternoon! I would highly recommend Chuck from Drain King if you ever have a plumbing problem.
So glad I hired Drain King. Within an hour they were at my house and my sink was unclogged. The owner and his son did the work and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Drain King!
Chuck was very responsive and when he arrived, educated us on the problem and the process. As new home owners, you get scared contractors will take advantage of you. Chuck was super patient and made sure we understood everything. I would definitely hire him again!
We hired Drain King to snake the line as a preventive measure after moving into our new home. Father-and-son team were courteous and professional, and the job was complete within 15 minutes.
We had a problem with water seeping into our basement at the front of the house where the basement wall meets the floor. After a lot of investigation, I determined that the French drain must be plugged because very little water was getting to the sump pump even after a lot of rain (the existing sump pump is located at the back of the house). Chuck and his son (also named Chuck) came and looked at the problem and explained that snaking the French drain would not work because the soft flexible drain pipe had probably collapsed (unfortunately, few people use hard rigid PVC pipe for French drains). As Chuck explained, digging up the French drain would be extremely expensive. Therefore, Chuck suggested a second sump system (basin and sump pump) be added near where water was detected. He provided an estimate for this work before we scheduled the work. For the most part, I was happy with the work that Chuck and his son did. My only complaint is related to the concrete repair work around the new sump basin; the concrete used is a much courser grade of concrete than that used for the basement floor so it will never look very good.
Very well. Chuck LaSala and his son arrived when promised and did a thorough and quick assessment of the work that needed to be done. I asked for and received an estimate up front and they quickly got to work. I loved the family business and I loved that father and son came together and worked together seamlessly. All of our problems were fixed and we are very pleased with the results. We finally have a plumber who is responsive, effective, professional, and well worth the money. We are hoping not to have any further issues, but if we do, we know who we will be calling!
Chuck and his son (Chuck Jr) were very professional to deal with and very straightforward in their communication on a problem I had with my plumbing. Charges quoted were very reasonable. Arrived promptly as promised and did their work clinically. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends.
